- Honey-Helps heal wounds faster
Honey is known to have antifungal and antibacterial properties. In case of any cut or bruise, Apply some honey for a quick soothing effect.
- Salt water-sore throats
Gargling with warm salt water can help soothe a sore throat. It also helps kill bacteria in the throat.
- Cucumber – for Mild Swelling
Keep Cucumber slices for 10-15 minutes in the fridge, Cool cucumber slices help soothe swollen skin. You can place a slice anywhere your child has minor swelling, and then simply replace it with another cool slice from the fridge.
- Banana-loose motion
Loose motions lead to loss of potassium, and it is necessary to revitalize again. Banana contains potassium, zinc, iron, calcium, magnesium and vitamin A and B6. Amazingly, kids love the taste of banana & it is abundant to find.
- Coconut Water-loose motion
Besides having other major benefits of having coconut water, it helps in diarrhoea. Not only does it taste great but it also helps the body to regain lost fluids. It is recommended to give coconut water to your child at least 2-3 times a day.
- Lemon Juice Added to Honey-Reduces Fever
Add 1 tablespoon of honey to 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Mix it well and feed your baby. It helps massively to reduce fever as lemon strengthen immune system & honey provides nourishment.
- Sesame Seeds-Pneumonia
Heat a small amount of sesame seed with 3-4 pinches of camphor added to it. Have your child inhale the fumes to clear the congestion. Another way is by heating 2-3 crushed garlic cloves in sesame seed oil and apply it on the chest.
- Dates with Milk-Aiding Constipation
This is an effective way to deal with the constipation problem in kids.
- Ginger Juice-Nausea & Vomiting
Ginger works well to stop nausea and vomiting. Squeeze the juice out from grated ginger and mix one teaspoon of honey for make it taste better. Ginger and honey not only helps reduce nausea but aids in the digestion process.
